Surgery
Soft tissue procedures, lump removals and wound repair, with pre-operative assessment and pain relief included rather than added afterwards.
- Typical visit
- Admitted for the day
- Home visit
- Clinic only
- Suitable for
- Dogs and cats
We handle soft tissue surgery, lump and mass removals, wound repair and sterilisation. Anything outside that we will refer rather than attempt, and we would rather tell you that at the consultation than halfway through.
Every surgical patient gets a pre-operative examination and an honest conversation about anaesthetic risk. That conversation is more useful than a reassuring one. For an elective procedure on an older animal, sometimes the right answer is not to operate, and we will say so.
A lump that has appeared or changed recently should be looked at sooner rather than watched for months. Most are harmless. The ones that are not do considerably better when they are small.
What is included
- Pre-operative examination and a frank conversation about anaesthetic risk
- The procedure and anaesthetic, with monitoring while your pet wakes
- Take-home pain relief

Indicative market ranges for Kenya, reviewed 2026-08-29. This is not a quotation. Prices vary with your pet’s weight, the brand of vaccine or drug used, and whether the visit is at a clinic or at your home. Ask for a figure before treatment starts, any vet should give you one. Surgical procedures are quoted individually after assessment; the price depends on the procedure, the animal's size and the time under anaesthetic. We quote before booking, never after.
Common questions
Is anaesthetic safe for an older pet?
Age is not a disease, but it does change the risk. We assess each animal individually and will tell you plainly if we think the risk outweighs the benefit of a procedure that is not urgent.
Will you tell me the price before?
Always. If we open up and find something that changes the plan, we ring you rather than proceeding on assumption.
