Sick pet consultations
A full examination, a plain-language explanation of what we think is going on, and a costed plan before anything is started.
- Typical visit
- 20-30 minutes
- Home visit
- Available
- Suitable for
- Dogs and cats
Most owners arrive with the same two questions: what is wrong, and how much is this going to cost. Both deserve a straight answer.
We examine properly, tell you what we think and how confident we are, and cost the plan before starting. If we genuinely do not know yet, we will say that too, and explain what the next test would rule in or out and what it costs, so you can decide.
Sometimes the right answer is that nothing needs doing today. We will say so.
What is included
- A full physical examination, not a glance
- Our honest view of how urgent this is, including when the answer is that it can wait
- A costed plan before any test or treatment begins
- Written instructions, because nobody remembers verbal dosing advice at home

Indicative market ranges for Kenya, reviewed 2026-08-29. This is not a quotation. Tests, imaging and treatment are quoted separately and always before we start.
Common questions
How do I know if it can wait?
Ring or message and describe what you are seeing. We will tell you honestly. We would much rather turn a routine booking into an urgent one than have you sit on something that needed today.
Will you tell me the cost first?
Yes, before anything is started. If a plan turns out to need more than we quoted, we ring you rather than proceeding and presenting a bill.
